WEEK 1
In the first week of filmmaking project we were divided to two groups and each group got their script. I was in the group named Clowning Around. Before we got the script everyone need to talked about a story experienced and we need to know the type of the story (horrible, comedy, romantic etc.), which made us understand different type of story deeply, we also watched some short film to help us understand use different ways to show stories and some skills about how to use camera from different angle.
The first thing after we got the script was analysis the character’s characteristics. We made a list about all the character in our script.
Brian: lazy, drink, clumsy
Karen: angry, house wife, strong character
Tommy: Brian’s mate, Karen’s mother wanted her to marry Tommy instead of Brian, well dress, smart, smooth
Policeman: flirtation, good sense of humour
In order to find the actors and shoot easily we decide instead of clown hitting child he kicked the kid while running or shouts at him, at the end part instead of a kid walks past them we decide use the girls in our group. In addition, the script was too long we may edit more than 4 minutes, so we delete a part of script.
