5 seconds film

The first time I knew the Rule of Thirds was when I am a high school student studying draw, the teacher teach me how to make up organize different object in a picture. The content of Rule of Thirds in Jools’ lecture is similarity with the one I learned.

The Rule of Thirds is divided a viewfinder into three equal parts-horizontally or vertically. Every parts conclude some objects which link with the theme, it will make a composition more energetic and interesting.

My film is consist of two parts, the first part is makes the cross as the theme.

the second part makes the tree as the theme,both of them is depend on the Rule of Thirds.

This animation ws gaven some feedback by the teacher, then I altered it, cancel some blur use scale instead of it.

Building

I am glad I can see so many wonderful buildings here, different style different design, when I draw these beautiful buildings I fell peaceful all the pressure are gone.  There are some wrong ground perspective at latset picture however I like it, because we can see it everyday. haha

30 seconds animation

At the beginning of this course we took some photos however at that time I totally cannot understand it, I didn’t know why we took  so many photos and I didn’t understood our homework, so I want to thanks for Willsom, Nima and Nikita helped me when I had a difficult time.  

The first and second animation I made were gone because of something wrong with the photos I saved. Then I made the third animation of mine. The animation has no specific meaning, just translate different position, I choice 10 photos for my animation, five pictures were took by my group five pictures from other group. at first I use Photoshop cut down the photos’ background and save them as PSD, then use Adobe After Effect to make them moving, I felt very interesting that transfer photos to movie.

This is the animation without music and  some wrong order with it, at that time I cannot use Adobe After Effect very well, there were something I couldn't understand.

This is the final animation, I added music and made the action moving with every beat.

                   

Design process

The most recent design I made is about one year ago when I was a high school student, at that time I studied graphic design, some basic knowledge of architecture such as 3D design, however in all of these course I like graphic design most. The design I will show is named REGULATION. When I took this topic there were two views I want to express—praise and criticism.

As we all know system is all over our life, some of regulations look like imprisoned the life of people however it ensure the safety and health of life, then I associated my idea with lock, it locks the door makes some people cannot come into the house however it ensure the safety of people’s life.

Then I wanted to make a design to criticism the incomplete regulation and remind people that what we should to do is not just make the regulation completed, the reason why system is incomplete and the effect brought by incomplete regulation also important. My friend gave me an idea that I can use the door to express my point, I used wanted to use mouse hole make a design then I put them together completed the design below.

After I finished these two design I was thinking about that sue one aspect to express an opinion is one-side the better way is put them together, some incomplete regulation may bring heavy pressure but the purpose of it is safeguard people’s life.  However I have no good material to express my view, after that class a good point appear in my head when I watched TV, there was a ropedancer walking on the tightrope with a stick in his hand which look like add pressure of the ropedancer however it keep balance in fact. The characteristics of  the performance was similarity with that of the system I wanted to express. 

At the begining of multimedia course I was worried about I cannot adapt the new course, however after one week class I realize that multimedia design needs creative which I can translate graphic design to multimedia design.
